Jamaica Childcare
Aurora, Colorado
The Jamaica Childcare facility was an experimental cottage-type facility funded by the Piton Foundation which provided childcare and early learning opportunities for children from age 1 to age 5 for teen parents attending high school in Aurora. The facility was completed on a fast-track construction schedule using a CM/GC and was completed within a four month time frame.
Eidos worked with the Aurora Public Schools district design team and preschool program manager to program and plan the spaces for different age children. The building includes a vaulted corridor which creates an exciting learning and play space and a classroom was added for teen parenting classes.
