The City of Aurora’s Water Department primary focus was to bring multiple divisions of the Water Department and their Public Works Department into a central facility to better facilitate collaboration and communication across the various divisions.

The outcome was 366,000 sf of facilities on approximately 40 acres of an 88-acre parcel that includes administrative offices, operational shop and storage facilities and a satellite fleet facility with fueling island and wash bays. We then worked closely with the Saunders Construction team collaboratively as the project’s design partner to assist them from the design side to solidify that they were able to deliver a completed building on the City’s move schedule. The facility has been occupied and fully utilized since the fall of 2023.
