Canyon Park Apartments

Cedar City, Utah

In 2022, a remarkable transformation unfolded at Canyon Park Family Apartments, breathing new life into affordable housing. Nestled in a serene setting, the complex boasted 24 apartments across three two-story buildings. As part of the renovation, the layout was revamped to accommodate diverse family needs, with four two-bedroom units converted into spacious three-bedroom apartments. Four existing units were also tailored to meet accessibility standards, solidifying inclusivity for all residents.

Among the notable additions was a new laundry and outdoor equipment storage building, enhancing convenience and functionality.  The renovation extended beyond aesthetics, with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.

Interior and exterior finishes were entirely replaced, roofs were upgraded, and energy-saving features such as new windows and added insulation were integrated. Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems received comprehensive upgrades, aligning with modern standards of efficiency.

Outside, the site was regraded, parking lots and sidewalks were replaced, and a vibrant new playground emerged. Carports were installed, offering protection for residents’ vehicles, while xeriscaping minimized water usage, harmonizing with the natural surroundings.

Canyon Park Family Apartments emerged as more than just a place to live—it became a beacon of affordable, sustainable, and inclusive housing. This renovation not only revitalized physical spaces but also nurtured a sense of community and belonging for all who call it home.
